Rannisakustik Campaign to Create an Environment Free from Violence against Women and Children

On Saturday, 19 March 2016 there was an acoustic art performance together with Rannisakustik and Organ Tunggal in the district Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta. The show took place as campaign towards an environment free from violence against women and children. Within the framework of the International Women’s Day Rifka Annisa arranged the musical show to attract attention on the issue of violence against women and children.

The show took place in the form of a collaboration concert between Rannisakustik and Organ Tunggal. It was visited by many people, consist of men, women and interested children. The event started with the introduction of Rifka Annisa. The vision and mission of the institution was introduced by Rifka Annisa staff. Then various forms of violence such as physical, psychological, economic and sexual violence were explained to mediate an understanding of this problem of the society.

The songs of Rannisakustik and Organ Tunggal deal with the problem of domestic violence or dating violence, the issue of gender equality, love and the roles of father, mother and child. They sing for an environment free from violence against women and children. In the course of this Saturday night a lot of information on the issue of violence against women and children was conveyed. Eventually people began to dance to the nice songs. []
